BIOTE(A)CH EVENT IN ÇANAKKALE
The multiplier event was organized as a one-day event, led by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University (ÇOMÜ) with support from Mellis and Glycogest Biotechnology. The event occurred on 28 November 2024 at Uluova Süt Ticaret A.Ş. in Çanakkale.
Participants included university students, graduates, academicians, and industry representatives, all attending in person. A total of 56 participants were present. During the event, the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University team presented the project’s results and tutorials.
The agenda also included presentations about the piloting process and an explanation of the technology readiness level.
BIOTE(A)CH EVENT IN MARIBOR
The first multiplier event (9 October 2024) was organised at the Slovenian Institute of Hop Research and Brewing (IHPS) in Žalec.
The second event (22 November 2024) took place at the Faculty of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Information Technologies (FAMNIT).
A total of 44 and 23 participants attended the event in Žalec and Izola respectively. In total 67 participants attended the events and were introduced to the project results. The participants included researchers, university lecturers, advisors, students and industry representatives.
BIOTE(A)CH EVENT IN VITERBO
The BIOTE(A)CH multiplier event in July 2024 was held at the Department of Biology and Biotechnology ‘Charles Darwin’ in Rome.
This event offered a unique opportunity for biotech academicians, students and graduates to acquire knowledge about modern plant breeding principles including molecular, genomic, phenomic, and biotechnological techniques in agriculture, gain insights into the agrifood ecosystem, explore design thinking and flipped learning methodologies, and connect with experts in the field.
Participants engaged with practical case studies about modern breeding tools and New Breeding Techniques in crop improvement, interactive discussions, and expert-led sessions on integrating innovation into agrifood systems.
BIOTE(A)CH EVENT IN KOMOTINI
Α Mulitplier Event – Carrier Day of the School of Health Sciences was conducted on November 30, 2024, at the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH) in Alexandroupolis, Greece. The event attracted over 90 participants.
The audience comprised representatives from 9 biotechnology companies (ABCURED, AKESIOS S. A., Dimokritos Dioagnostic Laboratory, Vergina Beer, EVROPHARMA, ELPEN, Menikio, Pharmathen and Church foundation “Agios Kiprianos”), academic professionals, EIT Food educators, Europe Direct Eastern Macedonia and Thrace and students from the School of Health Sciences.
BIOTE(A)CH EVENT IN ZAGREB
The BIOTE(A)CH multiplier event, which took place in cooperation with the University of North (https://www.unin.hr/) in Koprivnica on October 28, 2024, was carefully prepared to ensure a well-organized and impactful experience for all participants.
The event was scheduled from 13:00 to 18:00, allowing sufficient time for various sessions, presentations and interactive activities.
A total of 51 participants were present on the day of the event, including students, professors, researchers and industry representatives.
The program was designed to engage participants through a combination of presentations and discussions in line with the goals of the BIOTE(A)CH project and recent research efforts.
